AUSTin Public Library is now accepting applications for its next collection, with an estimated price tag of US$25 million.
The library is in the midst of a massive redevelopment and expansion, including a $3 billion, multi-million dollar redevelopment of its main building.
The library will be home to the world’s largest collection of books in the US.
The city has been considering a number of other proposals, including possibly opening a museum.
“The city is exploring several options including the possibility of building a new library in Austin,” the library’s website says.
However, it doesn’t say which proposals were chosen.
The library has been a fixture of Austin for almost 30 years, and was established in the 1980s.
It is currently home to more than 60,000 books and is one of the largest collection centres in the world.
